Leuven is the ideal place if you are looking to discover some old monuments but also very trendy places. At less than half an hour from Brussels, this youthful town is home to one of Europe’s oldest universities. History is present on every street corner. The town hall is Leuven’s pride and joy. Moreover, it’s one of the best-known Gothic town halls worldwide. It took three architects and thirty years to build it. Leuven’s ‘Hall of Fame’ features 236 statues, which were only added to the façade after 1850. In 1708, Sébastien Artois became head brewer at the Den Hoornbrewery,a brewery established in 1366. Artois purchased the brewery in 1717 and renamed it Brouwerij Artois. In 1926, the Brewery launched Stella as a Christmas beer, named after the Christmas star.

During this tour you will visit the Magritte Museum, located in the heart of Brussels, that brings together the world’s largest collection of the renowned surrealist artist René Magritte: 230 works and archives are displayed. The multidisciplinary space houses paintings, gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects, as well as advertising posters, musical scores, photographs and films.
The Museum also has the most important collection from the artist’s “vache” period.
Before and after the Museum visit, your guide will walk you through the city centre where you will discover different monuments and taste some local specialties.

Brussels, homeland of Tintin and Spirou, the undeniable forerunners of many generations of comic strip heroes (the Smurfs, Lucky Luke and the Daltons, Corentin, Black and Mortimer – to mention only the most famous).
The clear line at the tip of a pencil, Belgian comic strip has given birth to some great names of the 9th art and its future looks bright because there’s nothing like deep roots for encouraging new talent to grow. “Speech balloons” are more or less everywhere in Brussels and especially at the Belgian Comic Strip Center (CBBD), set up in a superb Art Nouveau building.
The journey will take you to the CBBD where you will discover the history of Belgian Comics and through a walking guided tour to admire the painted walls spread out everywhere in the city center.

In Brussels, capital of Art Nouveau, the style was developed with the help of the architects Victor Horta and Henry Van de Velde. Their brilliant creative works, as well as those of other architects, bring pleasure to thousands of visitors who enter the private world of these opulent houses every year. At the turn of the 19th century Brussels went through a period of unrivaled effervescence. The middle classes, merchants and artists opted to have their houses built in the style in vogue: Art Nouveau, marking the beginning of modern architecture and design.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Horta House and discover many Art Nouveau façade with a passionate guide. Transportation by bus and a lunch is also included.
